Berkeley Partners for Parks, a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation established in 1995, acts as fiscal sponsor receiving donations for volunteer community groups that are not incorporated.
Any donation to a BPFP partner group is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Donate by check
To donate to one of our partner groups by check:
- In the PAY TO THE ORDER OF line, write Berkeley Partners for Parks. Please do not make the check out to the name of the group.
- In the Memo line, write the partner group name.
If possible, please send your check to the partner group. Most list addresses on their web site. If you cannot do this, please mail it to the address:

BPFP has a large number of partner groups, so to be sure your check is credited to the correct group, include a note giving the partner group you are donating for, the amount of your donation, and your email or another way to contact you in case of questions.
Donate online by credit card
- Click the Network for Good icon to the right.
- Follow the instructions on the Network for Good web site. Under Designation, enter the name of the partner group you are giving to.
- Also, most communication with our members is by email, so we prefer if you select the option Provide my name and email address to the charity.
- After you check out you will instantly receive a tax receipt.

Donate through a donor-advised, firm, or similar fund
- Follow the instructions on the fund’s web site. Your donation should be to Berkeley Partners for Parks, which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
- Enter the partner group name in an appropriate space — usually under a heading like purpose of the donation, with options such as department or other. If you cannot find a way to do this, please email the group and/or use the form on our Contact page to let us know where the money should go, providing details so that we can identify the donation.
- If you need more information, please first try contacting the partner group, and then if necessary use the Contact page.
- We are happy to keep donations anonymous, and we do not publish your information. But in case we have questions, we prefer that you select an option that gives us your name and email address.
